Dr. Catherine Dowd
Dr. Dowd graduated from Rockhurst University with her bachelors of science degree in mathematics. She then received her doctor of chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic University in Overland Park, KS. She has focused intensively for the past several years specializing in spinal decompression. She compliments this with a passion for helping people understand what causes their pain and helps them have power over this. She firmly believes that PAIN is never random. There is always an answer.
Outside of the office Dr. Dowd enjoys to swim laps, workout, read and walk her French bulldog Stitch.


Dr. CJ McGurk, D.C.
Dr. CJ McGurk is a dedicated chiropractor who specializes in treating patients of all ages—from newborns to geriatric individuals. He is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love through personalized, evidence-based care.
Dr. McGurk earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University-Kansas City, after completing his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Tulsa. His educational background gives him a strong foundation in human movement, rehabilitation, and evidence-based clinical care.
Dr. McGurk’s approach to patient care is patient-centered and evidence-based, with a focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of pain rather than simply treating symptoms. What sets him apart is his ability to combine precise, hands-on chiropractic care with a strong emphasis on movement, rehabilitation, and patient education. He partners closely with his patients to help them better understand their bodies and build lasting resilience.
When he’s not in the office helping patients, Dr. McGurk can be found working on the grounds crew for the Kansas City Royals—a role that reflects his appreciation for hard work, precision, and teamwork.


Dr. Tris Mette, D.C., M.S., B.S.
Dr. Tris Mette is an experienced chiropractor who has been in practice since 2013. She is known for her patient-focused care and her dedication to helping individuals heal, move better, and live healthier lives through thoughtful, individualized treatment.
Dr. Mette’s clinical specialties include Mechanical Pain Integration (MPI), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Active Release Technique (ART), nutrition, disc-related conditions, and Functional Movement Systems (FMS). Her diverse skill set allows her to approach each patient with a comprehensive, whole-body perspective.
She completed her education at Black Hills State University, Cleveland Chiropractic, and Logan University, earning advanced degrees that support her integrative and evidence-informed approach to care. Dr. Mette is committed to lifelong learning and continually adapts her clinical methods to reflect the latest research and best practices.
What truly sets Dr. Mette apart is her deep empathy and compassion for every patient she serves. She is a strong patient advocate who believes in meeting individuals where they are, listening closely to their experiences, and empowering them throughout their healing journey.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mette enjoys traveling and exploring new places, which reflects her curiosity, adaptability, and appreciation for diverse perspectives.
